The show :

‘The legend of the pirogue (VA'A or WAKA)’

This show transports you into the world of the traditions and folklore of the pirogue civilisation, from its manufacture to the departure of the adventurers towards the unknown. The peoples who left South-East Asia 5,000 to 6,000 years ago embarked on an extraordinary sailing adventure, populating more than 10,000 islands, some 4,000 km apart. The dugout canoe, generally called VA'A or WAKA, was much more than a simple means of physical transport: it conveyed the social, political and religious organisation, as well as the people, plants and animals necessary for their subsistence.

The show, representative of the folklore of Tahiti and the islands of the South Pacific, features magical performances by dancers and singers in a non-stop show, accompanied by typical Polynesian percussion.
